It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Annie Hall, Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Hall passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022.
Graveside services were held on Friday, May 13, 2022, from the Gum Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
Annie Louise Hall known as “Duck” was born to the late Sterling Hall, Sr. and the late Willie Mae Baker Hall Durden on May 3, 1948. Annie was reared and educated in Baldwin County, GA. She was raised in a large and loving family and helped tend to her younger siblings. Being drawn to building up the next generation, she first worked as a teacher’s aid for over 10 years. She later gained employment at the Youth Development Center (YDC) where she was firm yet loving to the boys she worked with and became affectionately known as “Gangsta Granny”. She worked hard and retired from YDC in 2010. Annie was married to the late Raymond Danzy, Sr. for several years and had two loving children. She later married the late Joseph Eugene Hall, Sr. with whom she had her third child. She spent 42 loving years with Joseph until he passed in 2015. Annie passed away on May 4, 2022. She loved fishing, dancing, and most of all spending time with her loving family. She was a devoted member of Gum Hill Baptist Church from her youth to death. In addition to her parents and husband, Annie was preceded in death by sister Dorothy Glenn; brothers Willie Hall, Larry Hall, Sterling Hall Jr., and Randy Hall; and her daughter, Cheryl Hall. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Roderick Danzy and Omar Hall; son-in-law Joseph Hall, Jr.; ten grandchildren Roshay (Charissa) Wright, Kaleb Ford, Coretta Danzy, Latasha (Andre) Lawson, Victoria Danzy, Joseph (Ashley) Hall, III, Brianna Danzy, Shakerra (Montae) Hall, and Omeisha Hall; 15 great grandchildren; nine sisters Jonnie Glenn Neal, Berean (Glen) Gilbert, Patsy Hayes, Erma (Melvin) Barnes, Evelyn (Melvin) Hogan, Ruby Barnes, Debra Turner, Sarah (Leon) Samuels, and Loletta Hall; three brothers Joseph Hall, Leroy (Elaine) Hall, and Roscoe Hall; devoted friend Eugene Cook and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
