It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Ms. Angela Mallory, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Ms. Mallory passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Flipper Chapel AME Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.

On December 26, 1957, Angela Mallory was born to the parentage Myra Waller and Robert Mallory in Milledgeville, Georgia. Angela joined Flipper Chapel A.M.E. at an early age, where she was a lifelong member.

Angela received her education in the Baldwin County Public School System. After high school, she worked as a patient care assistant at Central State Hospital and a local doctor's office throughout her working career. Once Angela completed her working career, she continued to enjoyed life to the fullest.

While Angela never married, she lived a full and vibrant life with more family and friends than could be counted. Her family and friends meant more to her than words can describe.

Anyone who knew Angela experienced her kindness, love, warmth, and brilliance. She was fondly called "Niecy" and never met a stranger. Angela loved to cook and took pleasure in providing meals for all. She was always a source of positivity. Angela's family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

 Angela was preceded in death by her parents; Myra Waller and Robert Mallory; Evelyn Samuels and Lillie Essley (Aunts); Georgia Mae Jones (Sister); and Clarence H. Simmons, Jr. (Cousin) 

 She leaves an abundance of cherished memories with her brothers, Mr. Yolando Brown (Shirley), Milledgeville, GA, [Nephews: Joris Brown and Demetrick Johnson] Mr. Shannon Waller Sr. (Jechell) [Nephews Shannon Waller, Jr., Jalen Waller, Jorlan Waller] Gray GA., Cousins, Allison Butts Milledgeville GA, Nathan Butts, Milledgeville GA, Felicia Byron (Sam) [Cousins JaMarcus Trawick and Christopher Trawick] Milledgeville GA. Demetrick Simmons, Milledgeville, GA. Siblings Mr. Kirk Mallory (Phyllis) and Mr. Chris Austin, Milledgeville, GA; Mr. Gregory Austin of McIntyre, GA, Mrs. Deborah Shinholster, Bradenton, Fla; Ms. Sandra Mallory, Milledgeville, GA. Mrs. Georgia Freeman (Carlton), Milledgeville, GA. and Ms. Tamara Wright, all of Milledgeville, GA., and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
