Andey Reid Obituary

Andey F. Reid was born on August 27, 1939, in Baldwin County, Georgia to the late Eddie Lee and Sylvia Tinsley Ford. She transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Haddock, Georgia.

Andey was educated in the Jones County Public School System. After high school, she graduated from Macon Tech Cosmetology School. During the course of her career, she worked at Cherokee Cannery, Eatonton Manufacturing Company, and Lynn Haven Nursing Home.

On February 14, 1966, Andey and her beloved husband entered into holy matrimony. They settled in Haddock, Georgia, where they raised their two children, Willie Ann and Tyrone Reid.

Andey was a member of Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. She was a life member of Putnam Chapter No. 34, O.E.S.

Andey leaves behind a legacy that is characterized by her devotion to her family and a life spent in service to others. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed speaking on the phone with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three sisters (Mattie, Mamie, and Lucy), and two brothers (Josiah and Bennie).

Andey leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Willie Jeff Reid; children, Willie Ann Reid of Haddock, GA, and Tyrone Reid (Sonya) of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Kimberly Reid of Chattanooga, TN and Taylor Reid of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Avon Ford (Carolyn) of Toledo, OH, Conealious Ford of Haddock, GA, and Eunice Ford (Peggy) of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Usher James (Lee Arthur) of Grey, GA, and Beatrice Williams of Haddock, GA; nieces and nephews, Deborah Knoff-Liggins, Altry James, Lee Arthur James, Jr. (Marcie), Sharon James, David Ross (Melva), Dion Ross, Bernice Solomon and Linda Solomon; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews including, Eboné Liggins, Jackie Liggins, Alexis James, Keith James, Ashley Ford, Rebecca Ford, Norman Ford, Melvin Ford, and Robert Ford.
