It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater's Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Alonzo Choice, Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Choice passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022.

Funeral services were held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM from the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed from the Heritage Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. Alonzo Mills Choice II, the son of the late Alonzo Mills Choice, Sr. and Bernestine Choice was born on September 11, 1975. Alonzo was fondly called Lonnie or Lonnie Pete by family and close friends.

Alonzo's untimely departure from this life occurred on Monday, December 19, 2022.

Alonzo attended the public schools of Baldwin County and was a member of the graduating class of 1995. He went on to continue his education at South Georgia Technical College in Americus, GA, and received a diploma in welding. Later in life, he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Milledgeville, GA.

Lonnie was a caring, loving, and honest person that would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children. He was a faithful and dedicated son to his mother. Prior to his departure, Lonnie was a hard worker at Smyrna Truck and Company.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, the late Alonzo Mills Choice, Sr.; grandparents, Olean Harris-Choice (Charlie); Decola James (Annaise), all of Milledgeville, GA. He is survived by his mother, Bernie Stein Choice of Milledgeville, Georgia; one son, Alonso Mills Choice III (L.J.); three daughters, Kadeidra T. Choice, Alona T. Choice, and Amani S. Choice, all of Milledgeville, GA; one devoted brother, Travis Choice of Marietta, GA, and one devoted sister, Cynthia Hitchcock-Scott (Johnny) of Milledgeville, GA; five aunts, Doris J. Halcomb of Milledgeville, GA, Janice Choice-Geese (Charles), Joann Choice of Lithonia, GA, Annie Lois Joseph and Jeanette Choice, both of Boston, MA; three uncles, Willie James (Doris) of Fayetteville, GA, Milton Choice (Pauline), Jerold W. Choice, all of Milledgeville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and several
