Allie M. Bonner

Mrs. Allie M. Bonner, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Green Acres Nursing Home, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 11:00 AM from the Oak Grove Baptist Church Lawn, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Allie Mae Bonner transition from her earthly home on Wednesday, July 16, 2020. She was born June 29, 1945 in Whitfield County, Dalton, Georgia to the late Mr. William Barrett and Mrs. Jannie Mae Chaney.

She was raised in Milledgeville, Georgia by the late Mr. Ellison Finsley and Mrs. Annie Bell Finsley. Allie attended Boddie High School. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member of the Senior Choir for many years until her health declined. Allie was a friendly person willing to lend a helping hand whenever she could.

Allie was married to Robert F. Bonner on March 9th, 1963 in Milledgeville, GA; three children were born to this union, Harold, Angela, and Robert Jr.

Allie was a dedicated employee of Central State Hospital, retiring after thirty-two years of faithful service. Allie was affectionately known as “Allie Mae” by many friends. She was a dedicated wife and mother, caring for her husband Robert of fifty-six years and her children, one of which preceded her in death.

Allie enjoyed working in her flower beds; she enjoyed traveling very much, visiting many different states, going on cruises, and even enjoyed a month long visit to Zimbabwe, South Africa!

Family and friends lost a loving, dedicated and caring person when Allie was called home to be with the Lord. She will be truly missed by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Robert; her two children, Harold and Angela; two grandchildren, Acrissa and Kierran; also great grandchildren, Zayda and Channing; Allie leaves to mourn several siblings in her birth home of Dalton, GA, Whitfield County and Ms. Peggy Williams, of Milledgeville, GA; two sisters-in-law, Loraine and Arlene of Conly, GA; two brothers-in-law, Larry B. Bonner (Juanetta) and Emmett Bonner; several nieces and nephews also survives her; a host of cousins and friends, Pennie Mae Burch, Pamala Bonner, Danya Butts.
