Mrs. Alice Williams Buck was born April 26, 1936 to the parentage of Emitt and Emma Williams. Alice was the youngest of six children.

Having attended many different churches over the years, Alice found her spiritual home with the Oak Bethel Holiness Church where she was an active member until her health declined.

Alice was a homemaker who loved flowers, fishing and caring for children. She loved being called “Granny”.

On July 7, 2024, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt cousin was called home to eternity. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tony Buck, her siblings, Mary, Frances, Laura Bell, Lillian, Emma, and Emmit Jr., her only grandson Walter Renfroe Jr., great–granddaughter Egypt Boddie and great-great granddaughter Unique Renfroe.

She leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter Mattie Mae Baker, granddaughters; Vanessa Renfroe, and Lashonda Renfroe; ten great-grandchildren  Allen Renfroe, Travontae (Monica) Reaves, Lakeidre (Sony) Reaves, Jalontae (Morgan), Courtney (Malik) Boddie-Ford, Melvin Jr., Madison, McKenzie, Moriah and Adam Renfroe.Alice was proud to say she had eight great-great grandchildren; Jakobi, India, Emani, Paris, London, Ma’Kaya, Malik Jr., Ma’Liya and a loving host of neices , nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Special thanks to Sparta Health and Rehab, Chaplinwood Health and Rehab and Affinis Hospice. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 6:00PM-7:00PM at the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia. The family asks for privacy at their residence during this time as they mourn the loss of their loved one.   

Funeral services were held on Thursday July 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed from the Baldwin Memorial Garden, Milledgeville Georgia.
