It is with sympathy, the management and staff of Slater’s Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Alford Hill, 56, of Milledgeville, Georgia. Mr. Hill passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM from the Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
“Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take you joy away from you.” John 16:22 Mr. Alford Hill was born on December 11, 1964, to the parentage of the late Ethel H. Jenkins and the late Arthur L. Hill. Alford was a resident of Baldwin County. He received his education from Baldwin High School. At the young age of 18 Alford started working at Captain D's and continued working for thirty-nine years until his death. Alford was a mild mannered, sensible, good-hearted gentleman who lived his life to the fullest. His passions included breeding his pit bulls, driving his Camaro, and creating designs. Alford wore many hats, but his most important role was being a “Daddy” to his children. Mr. Alford Hill of 125 Felton Drive peacefully passed away on November 10, 2021, at Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Jenkins, father Arthur Hill, brother Eugene Jenkins Jr., and sister Lou Ella Hill. Loving memories will be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones: daughters Raven Hill of Augusta, Ga; Tyshonia Simmons of Warner Robins, GA; one son Tyrese Hill of Warner Robins, Ga; sisters Ethel (Anthony) Scales of Winston- Salem, NC, Viola Allen of Atlanta, Ga, Annie Louise Gilmore, Martha Ann West, and Hattie Mae Pitts, all of Milledgeville, Ga; brother Arthur Mosley, of Milledgeville, Ga, very dearest friend and longtime co-worker Wes Cummings; two longtime brothers in spirit James Finney and Jerome Butts, his dearest aunt Gussie Kelsey, devoted friend Johnny Williams; a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
