Mr. Adam Mitchell, Jr. of 191 Pineaway Drive, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at his residence.
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slaters Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Sons of Wisdom and Daughters of Light Society Cemetery at County Line Baptist Church.
Mr. Mitchell was born May 4, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mr. Adam Mitchell, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Eudell Johnson Mitchell Foreman. Adam attended public schools in Baldwin County.
Adam was employed with Wallace Dam for 15 plus years where he was a machinist and laborer. He also self-employed, Adam possessed skills for general home repair and construction work for 30 plus years.
On May 22, 1965, Adam was united in Holy Matrimony to Eva Jean Farrow Mitchell, who preceded him in death after 43 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by:his brothers, Johnny Mitchell and Rudolph Johnson and first-born grandson, Adam Seth Mitchell.
Adam was a role model and father figure to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He will be forever missed by: one son, Dr. Adam Mitchell 3rd (Latha); one grandson, Gabriel Z. Mitchell; one sister, Joann F. Havior, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
