Mr. Willie Joe Hogan, of Haddock, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Coliseum Medical Center, Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 12 NOON from the Greater Jordan Chapel AME Church, Haddock, Georgia. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Willie Frank Joe Hogan, affectionately known to his family and friends as “Billy Jack” departed this life on June 13, 2019 at the Coliseum Medical Center. Mr. Hogan was born on April 3, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mr. Frank Hogan, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Lou Bailey Hogan in Haddock, Georgia.
Mr. Hogan confessed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age by joining Greater Jordan Chapel. Mr. Hogan attended the public schools of Jones County. Mr. Hogan was employed with Cherokee Products in Haddock, GA and later joined Mathis Tree Logging Services. Mr. Hogan loved cutting grass and fishing as a hobby, but most of his time was spent playing spades with his family.
Mr. Hogan is preceded in death by three brothers, The late Mr. Hubert Hogan, Sr., Mr. Willie Lee Hogan and Mr. Lewis Carter Hogan.
Mr. Hogan’s memories will forever be reamined with his only son, Mr. Jamaris Billings of Haddock, GA; five sisters, Ms. Susie Tucker of Milledgeville, GA, Ms. Mary Wilson and devoted sister Mrs. Shirley (Calvin) Middlebrooks, both of Haddock, GA, Ms. Thelma Fluellen of Macon, GA, and Mrs. Ella (Horace)Manson of Eatonton, GA; three brothers, Mr. Frank (Theia) Hogan of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Robert (Beryl) Hogan and Mr. Issac Hogan, both of Haddock, GA; a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; three close friends, Mr. Larry Howard, Mr. Ronnie Choates, and Mr. Arthur Meadows.
