William O'Neal

Mr. William O'Neal entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Doctor's Hospital, Augusta, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:30 AM from the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. William Henry O'Neal was born on August 18th, 1947 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Beverly O'Neal and Carrie O. Hill of Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. O'Neal received his education from the Baldwin County School System. In 1966 he joined the United States Army. During his term, he served a tour in Vietnam.

Mr. O'Neal was also a contract painter in the Milledgeville and Atlanta areas. He lived in Atlanta for a few years.

William was known as “Buffalo Soldier” and “Big Baby” by many of his family and friends. He also loved spending time with his only grandson, Tyrese O'Neal and enjoyed shopping, listening to music, riding in his van and going out to eat.

Mr. O'Neal is preceded in death by his only daughter, Rosazana O'Neal.

He is cherished in memories by his grandson, Tyrese O'Neal, of Milledgeville, GA; two brothers: Donald O'Neal, of Milledgeville, GA, Clifford (Naomi) O'Neal, of Clarksville, Tennessee; a devoted cousin, Robert Smith, of Milledgeville, GA; two godchildren: Preston and Nakeisha Jordan; two devoted friends: Carlton Hammond, of Dublin, GA, Fannie Collins, of Milledgeville, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
