Sarah Brown Bennett

Ms. Sarah Brown Bennett, of Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at SMC Regency Hospital, Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Shiloh Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.

On May 14, 1959 in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia, a daughter was born to the union of the late John Brown, Sr. and the late Betty Dillard Brown. They named her Sarah Patricia Brown. She was raised by her grandmother, the late Sara Austin Hunt.

She was educated in the Baldwin County School System. She was a former employee of Central State Hospital and Rheem Manufacturing. She was an outspoken person and loved eating chocolate cake with cocoa cola drink. She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, Fixer-Upper and JoAnn and Chip. Sarah joined Shiloh Baptist Church at an early age. On Tuesday, December 4, 2019, God called her name and she answered “Father I’m ready”. Rest in peace our beloved Sarah.

Survivors include her daughters: Betty Myrick and LaMonica Myrick, both of Milledgeville, GA; sons: James Myrick (Kicki), Travis Myrick, both of Milledgeville, GA; sisters: Bettye Brown-Johnson, of Warner Robins, GA, Lora Ann Brown, of Milledgeville, GA, Naomi Badmus, of Warner Robins, GA, Julia Young, Sherry Massey, and Lisa Edet, all of Syracuse, New York; brothers: Alvin Brown (Idella), Milledgeville, GA, John Brown, Jr., Micheal Parks, Syracuse, NewYork and Jesse Parks, Geneva, of NewYork; granddaughters: Maliyah, Ny’Keria and devoted granddaughter, Shaniya; grandson, Javian of Milledgeville, GA; stepmother, Juanita Dixon Brown of Milledgeville, GA; aunt, Catherine Smith of Milledgeville, GA; uncle, Nathaniel Austin, of New York; devoted friends: Tyrell Adams, Mia Clemmons, Inez Durden, Cierra Grace, John Walker, Kelvin Brown, Nora Jackson, and Jackie Sherman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
