Margaret Hall Obituary

Ms. Margaret Hall, of 165 Irby Street SW, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Navicent Health Baldwin, Milledgeville.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 2:30 PM from the Second Macedonia Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Bland Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Margaret Rose Hall was born July 27, 1951 to the parentage and lineage of Mr. Jim Hall, Sr. and Mrs. Annie Lou Dixon Hall in Baldwin County, Georgia.

Her early education began in the Carver Elementary School where she pressed on to middle school, then to secondary education and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1971. Upon completion from high school, Margaret received certification in childcare development.

Realizing her earthly tabernacle was sure to dissolve, “Rose”, as she was affectionately called by her many loved ones, made preparation for this, her exodus, by confessing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and united herself to the flock of fellowship at Second Macedonia Baptist Church. When Margaret was able, you would often see her bring youth to church and assist them with singing and recitations, which is tradition in the “Hall” family. During her illness, MDS, Margaret continued her “servant service” by calling on family members to donate funds to help keep the cemetery beautiful and to purchase memorial plates for pews as a church fundraiser.

Margaret chose for a life’s profession the art of caring for the sick. She attended and graduated from the Heart of GAOconee Area JTPASchool of Nursing in 1985, as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a dedicated worker in the filed for over 30 years.

Margaret would care for her challenged nephew, Mike, whenever she could. She would always make sure he had birthday and Christmas gifts. The family often referred to her as their in home nurse.

Margaret was a dedicated and faithful employee of Frank Scott Prison where she received Employee of the Month. She also worked with the University of GASummer Program. She received a Certificate of Honors for group leadership of Strong African American Families Program.

During the predawn hour on Monday morning, February 18, 2019, our beloved “Rose” fell asleep to wait the final resurrection of them that love the Lord.

Gallantly and proudly remembering her legacy are two children: a loving daughter, Ms. Crystal Arrington, Milledgeville; a devoted son and care taker, Mr. Javosky Milner, Milledgeville; three brothers, Mr. Willie G. Hall, Newark, NJ, Mr. Fred Hall, Sr., Rochester, NY, Mr James Hall, Sandersville, GA; four sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Daughtry (Adolphus/David), Mrs. Christine Carter, both of Milledgeville, GA, Mrs. Annie Clark of Irvington, NJ, and Mrs. Bettye Harper (Louis) of Statesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Sutton Adriana Tillman and Summer Rose Tillman, both of Sandersville, GA; a devoted family friend, Ms. Ada Bell Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
