Laura Louise Hurt

Mrs. Laura Louise Hurt entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 29, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Slater’s Funeral Home, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Society Cemetery of County Line Baptist Church, Highway 49, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Ms. Laura W. Hurt, affectionately called Sister Girl by her family and friends age 73, passed away in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, October 29, 2018.

Born December 28, 1944 in Macon Ga, to the late Emmett Wright Sr. and Willie Mae Wright. She lived in Milledgeville, Ga before she settling in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked for the State of Ohio Road and Construction Unit as a Flag Worker until her retirement.

She leaves cherished memories lingering in the hearts of her stepson, Darren Hurt, a Step Granddaughter Ashley Hurt and one Great Grandson all of Cleveland, Ohio. Sisters: Mildred McClure of New Jersey, Hazel Francis (Nelson), Linda (Donald) Wesley, Stepsisters: Aldene Lewis & Dorothy Paschal all of Milledgeville. Brothers: Lewis (Bridgette) Wright and Marvin Wright both of Milledgeville. Stepbrothers: Eddie (Laverne) Driskell of Milledgeville and Larry Paschal of Eatonton, Ga. Aunts: Willie Bell (junior) Primus of Sparta, Ga, Geneva Black of Florida and Mattie Wright of North Carolina. In Laws: Alfreda Dennis, Gainell Banks, Willie Jennings of Youngtown, Ohio. A loving host nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, TJ Hurt, mother, WIllie Mae Wright, father, Emmett Wright, Sr. sister Sarah Francis & brothers Andrew & Emmett Wright Jr.
