James Chester, Sr.

Mr. James Chester, Sr. affectionately known as “Boot”, of Beulah Community, Hancock Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Second Beulah Baptist Church, Sparta, Georgia. Interment was held in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, 

Mr. James Odell Chester, Sr. was born on October 20, 1948 to the parentage of the late Mr. Louis Thomas and the late Ms. Nancy Chester in Hancock County, Georgia, where he attended it’s public schools.

Mr. Chester served in the military for several years, and later sought employment at Central State Hospital and Hancock County Road Department.

Affectionately called “Boot” by his family and many friends Mr. Chester enjoyed outdoor activities and watching sports.

On Thursday, February 28, 2019 our beloved one entered eternal rest.

Mr. James O. Chester, Sr. shall be deeply missed by his family and many friends including his son, James O’dell Chester, Jr.; devoted loved one, Ruby Dee Ruffin, both of Sparta, GA; three sisters, Ms. Geraldine Chester, Mrs. Wendy Primas (Johnny), both of Sparta, GA, Mrs. Willie Mae Jones (Freddie, Sr.) of Milledgeville, GA; brothers, Mr. Albert Chester, Mr. Danny Butts, Mr. Alonzo Butts (Debra), Mr. Ricky Thomas, all of Sparta, GA and Mr. Micheal Thomas of Milledgeville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
