Ms. Georgia Ruth Moore, of 2250 Queens Court, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Navicent Health Baldwin, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Lee's Chapel CME 943 West Thomas Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Scenic Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Ms. Georgia Ruth Moore, daughter of the late Robert Moore and Ocie Mae Boyer was born on February 18, 1932 in Sparta, Georgia. Sh e professed her faith to Jesus Christ and joined Lee's Chapel CME church where she attended faithfully.
Ms. Georgia retired from Central State Hospital in 1994 with 30 years of faithful service. She was an active member of The Sophisticated Ladies Club and The Order of the Eastern Star. She attended the OAC of Baldwin County. Because of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by so many. She quietly departed from this life on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She is proceeded in death by her siblings: Georgia Mae Moore, Fannie Mae Dixon, Edna Louise Freeman, Nathaniel Boyer, Lamar Boyer, Tommie Simmons, Sr and Horace Brookins, Sr. All of whom she loved dearly.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her sister Joyce Williamson of Miami, Florida and her children: Marilyn Cannon, Quinton Moore, Johnny Moore, Otis Moore, Loraine (Robin) Walker, Robin Robbins, and Michael (Darlene) Moore; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins. A devoted grandson, Deon (Jameria) Walker and a devoted granddaughter, Yvonne Vasser. Ms. Georgia Ruth enjoyed playing cards and having Sunday dinner with her family and friends. She had loving friends which she shared great memories with: Murlene Milner, Dexter Harden, Sabrina Lee, Dr. Collinda J Lee, Hattie Vinson, Christine Walker, Sonya Bolston Williams, Eva Ray Jackson, Rosa Mae Reeves, Courtney Todd, James Harris(Coco), Alphonso Smith and the entire Dunlap/Castlewood and WestEnd families.
Ms. Georgia's family was the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy will continue through them all.
