Ms. Doris Bolston, of 200 W. Habersham St. Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Navicent Health Macon.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Christ Temple of Refuge, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Heritage Memorial Gardens, Milledgeville, Georgia.
Doris affectionately known as "Rabbit" was born on March 31, 1946 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parents of the late J.C. Bolston and Jessie "Grace" Kemp Bolston. Two sisters, Grace Ann Alvin and Mary Louise Liggins preceded her in death.
She attended J.F. Boddie High School but later to receive her GED which was a major accomplishment for her.
To know Doris was to love her, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved reading God's word and solving crossword puzzles. She has a love for people; She made every person she came in contact with feel special. She love to sing and she would break our with a song on any occasion. She often prayed for others and she was a true prayer warrior. She was an active, faithful and dedicated member of Christ Temple of Refuge.
Deaconess Bolston served passionately as the church secretary and was well known for her infectious smile and loving personality. Being a member for over 30 years, she served in various capacities including, usher, missionary, receptionist, pastor aide, kitchen committee, praise team, choir, deaconess and director of prayer life. What she loved and cherished most was assisting and working closely with her pastor to help build the Kingdom of God.
On Friday, August 11, 2018, God called his angel to return back home to him. Doris leaves a host of loved ones including a twin brother, Mr. Dan Bolston (Margaret), brother, Mr. James Bolston (Brenda), both of Milledgeville, GA; two sisters: Ms. Cynthia Bolston, of Milledgeville, GA, Ms. Patricia Ann Ware, of North Columbia. Even though she has no kids of her own, she was blessed to be a God mother to so many whom she loved so dearly. Devote friends: Ms. Lorine Burton, Ms. Annie Lois Thomas, Ms. Geneva Davis, Ms. Margaret Bolston, Ms. Gussie Kelsey; a devoted caretaker, Ms. Sabrina Reaves; devoted nieces, Mrs. Anita Bolston Williams, Ms. Tamika Brown, Ms. Karen Bolston, Mrs. Sonya Bolston Williams, Mrs. Nicole Bolston King, Ms. Brandy Bolston; a devoted nephew, Mr. Terrence Williams; a host of other relatives and friends.
