Mr. Derrick Dewayne Macklin, Nashville, Tennessee formerly of Milledgeville passed away Friday, November 16, in Nashville.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Second Darien Baptist Church, Sparta, Georgia. The interment followed in the church cemetery.
Derrick Macklin was born September 13, 1977 in Richmond County to the parentage of Annie Howell and Bennie Ingram.
Derrick transitioned from this life on Friday, November 16, 2018. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1998. He then attended Savannah State University. Derrick later joined the Marines Corps. He enjoyed going to the gym and working out. Lounging at the Cigar Shop and Sport Bar. He was a big Team Mayweather fan. He love spending time with his family. His favorite words were “Smokem if you Gotem”.
Derrick leaves behind his beloved mother, Annie (George) Howell; his Fiancé’, Cathy Ewing; two brothers, Alonzo (Duke) Macklin of Atlanta, GA, Aundra (Monica) Macklin of Milledgeville, GA, Montavious Barnes of Milledgeville, GA; serviving nieces, Makayla, McKenzie, and Madison Macklin; one nephew, Alonzo Macklin, Jr.; and an heavenly angel, Asia Macklin; an aunt, Pearlie (Albert) Cummings; an uncle, Willie (Emma) Macklin; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
