Deacon Robert Lee Hartry, Sr., of 109 Nathaniel Drive NE, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on July 15, 2019 from Navicent Health Baldwin.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Saint Paul Baptist Church, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Deacon Robert Hartry, Sr. was born to the late Wilton Hartry, and the late Marie Hill Hartry on August 5th, 1940.

Deacon Hartry original began school in Baldwin County School system in Milledgeville, Georgia. He graduated from J. F. Boddie High School with the class of 1962. At an early age, Deacon Hartry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He began his career at Central State Hospital and retired with thirty-four years.

Deacon Hartry enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Deacon Hartry enjoyed maintaining his yard and his motorcycle. He was a devoted husband, father and faithful church member of Saint Paul Baptist Church.

Deacon Hartry is proceeded in death by several siblings.

On Monday, July 15th, 2019, Deacon Hartry was called to eternal rest. He will be cherished in memory by his beloved wife, Mrs. Joanne Hartry; children: Robert Hartry, Jr., Sharon Hartry Reese, Valerie Thorpe, Daryl Hartry; siblings: Melvin (Londa) Hartry, Dorothy (Stembridge) Harper, Tommie (Leola) Hartry, Aaron Hartry, Lavata Hartry Woodard.

Deacon Hartry also leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted granddaughter, Azaria Warren; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.
