Dan Bolston

Mr. Dan Bolston, of 1060 Downs Street, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Navicent Health Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Green Pastures Baptist Church, 150 North Warren Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in Heritage Memorial Park, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Dan affectionately known as, "Sport", was born on March 31, 1946 in Milledgeville, Georgia to the parentage of the late J.C. Bolston and Jessie "Grace" Kemp Bolston. He attended J.F. Boddie High School.

To know Dan was to love him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to sing and listen to gospel music. He loved reading the Bible and was a prayer warrior. His favorite saying is "Whatever's in God's Will." He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Green Pasture Baptist Church's "Sweet Chariot" and "Senior Choir."

Tuesday, October 9, 2018, God called His Angel back home to Him. Dan leaves a host of loved ones including his wife, Mrs. Margaret Bolston; two sons: Melvin Bolston (Jenean), Anthony Bolston (Shanese), both of Milledgeville, GA; three daughters: Karen Bolston, Sonya Bolston Williams, both of Milledgeville, GA, Brandy Bolston McClammy, of Lithonia, GA; a devoted companion, Loraine Burton, of Milledgeville, GA; one sister, Cynthia Bolston Smith; one brother, James Bolston (Brenda), both of Milledgeville, GA; two devoted nieces: Anita Bolston Williams (Terrance), Tamika Brown, both of Milledgeville, GA; three devoted friends: Avan Johnson, Ronald Goldsby, Gail Wright; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a host of other relatives.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Grace Ann Alvin, Mary Louise Liggins, his twin, Doris Bolston, a daughter, Geraldene Vasser.
