Betty Davis Obituary

Mrs. Betty Davis, of 2286 Leo Court, Milledgeville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Pine Pointe Hospice, Macon, Georgia.

Funeral services were held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1700 North Jefferson Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Betty Joyce (Zachary) Webb-Davis was born on December 18, 1952 in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was born to the late Gladys Taylor Zachary and Booker T. Zachary. She was married to the late David Henry Webb for 30 years and from that union they had three children.

Betty attended J. F. Boddie High School, Hughes School of Nursing, and Macon College. She graduated nursing school as a Registered Nurse and served over thirty years as a nurse at Central State Hospital.

"Mema"- as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, family, and friends- was a loving, humble, caring, and wise woman. She loved her family, friends, and cared for everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Davis; children, Angel Anderson, Michael (Kimchee) Webb and Marcus Webb; thre devoted daughters-n-law: Sheunetta Webb, LaQuadia Webb, Keisha Harper; sisters: Willie Randolph, Valencia (Albert) Cummings, Francena Whipple; brothers, Robert (Hermia) Zachary, Harry Zachary, Steve (Ruby) Zachary; sisters-n-law: Betty Williams, Christie (Joseph) Hicks, Linda (Leroy) Miller, Evelyn Elam; twelve grandchildren: Candis (Sheldon) Watkins, Nateisha Anderson, Markia Webb, Michael Webb, Jr., Kristen (Imaad) Flood, Justin Webb, Mikayla Webb, David Webb, Tyler Webb, Morgan Webb, Madison Webb, Dentavious Bonner; two great grandchildren, Cody Watkins, Jaylon Flood; a very devoted niece, Sonya Bell; devoted friends, Matthew (Geraldine) Dennis; dedicated caregivers, Susan Harper, Willie Randolph, Miaona Zachary Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, and church family.
