Mrs. Augustine Beck entered into eternal rest in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Oak Bethel Holiness Church, 866 Stembridge Road SE, Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment was held in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Augustine Beck was born March 28, 1947 to the late Mr. Robert Lee Jones and the late Mrs. Ruth Williams Jones in Hancock County, Georgia.
Mrs. Beck attended school in Baldwin County, Georgia graduating from the J.F. Boddie High School. After high school she matriculated at the Tennessee A&I State University graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration. After graduating from college she dedicated thirty two years with the Ohio Department of Labor. She was an entrepreneurial giant who excelled in business. Following her working career she opened two group homes for disabled adults, sold homes as a realtor, and owned multiple rental properties.
Early in life Mrs. Beck was a member of the Rock Mill Baptist Church, Milledgeville where she served until going off to college. While living in Ohio she affirmed her faith continuing to serve her Savior in various assemblies. She was known by her family members as one who was always willing to help and to support her family.
Mrs. Beck was committed to service; serving as a member of the Mental Health Board and a Member of the Adult Facility Care Association from 2015-2018. She was often celebrated for her many accomplishments and service by her community. Most notably she was awarded the Rising Star Award on November 13, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Mr. Robert Lee Jones, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Mr. Freddie James Beck and Mr. Christian Beck, Cincinnati, OH; her siblings: Mrs. Ruth Christian Meyers, Orange Park, FL, Mr. Crawford (Lila) Jones, Mrs. Dorothy McCormick, Mrs. Earnestine Griffin (twin), Milledgeville, GA, Mrs. Laura (James) Sealey, Clermont, FL, Mrs. Lyonne Cody, Winston Salem, NC, Mrs. Barbara (Rodric) Dots, Haywood, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
